Sammie, The Studios should pay you big bucks, you always make movies sound so good or interesting that I want to go immediately and watch or rewatch them! Thanks.

Hi, Sammie! I would second Godfather II and All the President's Men, then throw in another exploration of political paranoia, 1962's The Manchurian Candidate.

You really have a thing for Mikey and Nicky don't you? Conversation - just watched not too long ago. I love Hackman in everything he does. That is an awkward scene with the woman at the party. Not my favorite Redford movie. I always hated - growing up - when guys would make fun of the way someone looked - and they were just as good/bad as any of us. I would always say "ok Robert Redford"! He is the standard. Speaking of Redford = 70's paranoia - how about All The Presidents Men? Those scenes with Redford and Hal Holbrook/Deep Throat are classic. But the one that takes the cake for me is Marathon Man. Hoffman and Sir Larry. "Is it safe"????? Ever watch? Sammie - I think you were actually born in the late 50's - you have the soul of a baby boomer Fossil. Perhaps you died and was reborn in 1995 but this whole movie critique thing captures the essence of your previous life. I don't know - just keep bringing it!

Thank you for sharing some of the greatest 70's movies. Throw in The Parallax View and you'll never be paranoid-free. Coppola had quite a 1974 with The Conversation and Godfather II.
